The previous message about the Transitional Kindergarten and Preschool Open House tonight at 5 pm is for the Guthrie Center Elementary.

Hello GC Parents, Just a quick reminder that tonight at 5:00 PM in the cafeteria, we'll be hosting our Transitional Kindergarten (TK) & Preschool Open House! We will open the doors at the bottom of the steps on the south side of the building for you to enter. With TK being brand new to our school, this is a great opportunity to learn more about the program and what it offers. Feel free to share the invitation with friends, family, or community members who may need the information- especially if they don't currently have children in the building. Here's a quick overview of our programs: Preschool Program - 3-year-olds with IEPs & all 4-year-olds Transitional Kindergarten (TK) - 5-year-olds (1/2 PreK, 1/2 K) Kindergarten - 5-year-olds and older We'll be sharing a lot more information about both our PreK and TK programs tonight. "Librarians are tour guides for all of knowledge." - Patrick Ness We missed recognizing our amazing librarians on Friday, April 4th for Librarian Appreciation Day, but we know every day is a good day to recognize them. Thank you to Kristi Chance & Megan Farnsworth for you continued support to our students! This week also marks National Library Week. Be sure to thank your school librarians for their dedication and hard work and visit your community libraries in Guthrie Center, Adair, & Casey. They offer a wide range of services to help support our students and community!

ACGC will not have school on Wednesday, March 19, due to the predicted inclement weather. Wednesday will be a virtual learning day for students, with no activities.

Due to the impending weather concerns, ACGC Schools will be dismissing 1 hour early today, Friday, March 14. No after-school activities.

Due to poor gravel road conditions, the Adair-Casey and Guthrie Center bus routes will operate on hard surface roads only on Friday, March 7th.

The AC & GC 6th Grade Solo & Ensemble Contest scheduled for Thursday, March 6, has been postponed.

ACGC will have no school on Thursday, March 6, due to secondary road conditions. Thursday will be a virtual learning day for students, check your email for further instructions. No morning activities.

ACGC Schools will start two hours late on Tuesday, February 18, due to the predicted extremely cold wind chills—no morning activities.

AC/GC Schools will have a 2-hour late start, on Thursday, February 13, due to blowing snow and secondary road conditions—no morning activities.

Due to the Winter Storm Warning and inclement weather forecast, AC/GC Schools will be closed on Wednesday, February 12, with all activities canceled.

Bring in your non-perishable food items from November 1 - November 22. Items need to be placed in the students classroom box to be counted towards their classes total. Winning class will be awarded a pizza party!

Charger Update- October 4, 2024 Two Hour Early Release/No School- Parent-Teacher Conferences On Wednesday, October 9th, students will be released two hours early. There will be no school on Thursday, October 10th, and Friday, October 11th. Parent-teacher conferences are scheduled for the evening of October 9th and 10th, as well as the afternoon on October 10th. We encourage everyone to schedule a conference to meet with your student's teachers. This is a great opportunity to discuss your child's progress and address any questions you may have. National Principals Month October is National Principals Month. As we enter the month of October, I would like to thank each of our principals for the work they do on a daily basis. Mr. Tandem Eischeid- GC Elementary, Mr. Brian Sauser- AC/GC High School, and Mr. Ed Den Beste- A-C Elementary and AC/GC Junior High. The hard work and leadership our principals provide for our staff and students is a vital component to staff and student success. (Adair-Casey CSD will have a similar sale later this fall) They will be sold as is for $130 a piece (limit 1 each), computer bags are available (limited quantity).
