The girls finished 12th at the state meet with Ava Campbell, Cadence Petersen, Jayla Hoover, Adalyn Benson, Paige Van Meter, Emmarae Ellis, and Lillie Lauzon competing. The boys finished 14th with Gavin Sloss, Preston Kent, Noah Kading, Tate Fever, Jonny Kading, Bordy Beeler, and Jameson Pfrang competing. Congratulations to all team members and coaches on a fantastic year!
Our volleyball team placed 3rd in the West Central Activities Conference with another very successful season, a 20-11 record. Congratulations to the All-Conference team members: Stella Largent, Shay Lemke, Camdyn Richter, Addison Laughery, and Becca Littler!
The band competed well in all the marching band competitions this fall, including placing 5th place finish out of 21 similar sized schools in the Southwest Iowa Band Jamboree in Clarinda. The ACGC Band was the top 1A school from the state of Iowa at the competition!
The choir had a very successful fall sending ten students to audition for the Iowa All State Chorus. Three members were recalled, Natalie Dinkla, Carter Dinkla, and Rohnin Grasty, with two members recognized as all-state performers! Both Carter Dinkla and Rohnin Grasty will perform at the All State Festival in Ames later this month. Congratulations!
Our FFA had a very busy and successful fall with various livestock and soil judging competitions, a car show, Southwest District Greenhand FireUP, fruit sales, trunk-or- treat, and attending the National Convention in Indianapolis, Indiana. Congratulations to all who participated in many of the FFA activities!
Good luck to the football team as they play tonight for a chance to go to the UNI Dome next week! Another exciting and undefeated regular/district season, along with a deep playoff run for the Chargers!
