Kiersten Knobbe placed 4th place in the Junior Science and Humanities Symposium with the presentation of her scientific research, "Using Lutjanus Campechanus Scales as a Biosorbent to Filter Cu2+, Pb2+, and Cd2+ from Water", held at the University of Iowa. She will travel to Virginia Beach, Virginia, in April to compete in the JSHS National competition.
